about
This doubles as my fanboy love song to my favorite band Devo and my favorite Bass player Jerry Casale. There are so many stolen bits in this song used as a nod to their history. I just hope it is taken as a compliment, and not seen as something I stepped all over.
lyrics
Man, he saw it comin'/
He was a Prophet of the future/
From OHIO/
Preacher of De-Evolution/
(And Jerry Said)/
This is the sound of things falling apart/
Going in reverse right back to the start/
I had visions of Doggy Submission/
Life it crumbles down into a million little pieces/
Just like a puzzle, we gotta' put it back together/
Put it back together/
Put it back together/
Maybe we can work it out and put it back together/
Man, he saw it comin'/
He had it all figured out/
We gotta' do the Superthing/
Before we all Clockout/
(And Jerry Said)
This is the sound of things falling apart/
Going in reverse right back to the start/
They say it's a beautiful world, but not for me!/
Life it crumbles down into a million little pieces/
Just like a puzzle, we gotta' put it back together/
Life it crumbles down into a million little pieces/
Just like a puzzle, we gotta' put it back together/
Whip it into shape get it straight go forward move ahead try to detect it its not to late to whip it whip it good/ Are We Not Men? We're All Devo!/
Life it crumbles down into a million little pieces/
Just like a puzzle, we gotta' put it back together/
Life it crumbles down into a million little pieces/
Just like a puzzle, we gotta' put it back together/
Why can't we all just admit it's all over?
